The Minnesota OIC State Council is a collaborative of local affiliates and community partners working together to provide excellent employment training programs and services that lead to self-sufficiency.
Since its founding in 1967, Minnesota OIC has grown into a state employment and training system that annually serves about 3,000 clients of all races. OIC programs prepare people for today's work force with life skills development and job training in a variety of skills areas.

Summit Academy OIC (SAOIC) is an educational and vocational training center that prepares and empowers adults residing in the most economically depressed neighborhoods in the Twin Cities to become educated and employed members of their community.
The center assist individuals in developing their ability to earn and to become contributing citizens. Summit Academy support the development of self-sufficiency, regardless of background, economic status, or level of ability while strengthening their communities.

In collaboration with the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) the Latino Academy Teocalli Tequiotl OIC (TTOIC) was formed in January 2010. TTOIC is a business development and employment training center for low-income Latinos. TTOIC is a new member of the Minnesota OICs and among a national network of low-income workforce training centers, the OICs of America.
The framework of TTOIC allows LEDC to counsel low-income Latinos on their career path and create economic opportunities for themselves and their communities.

The Opportunities Industrialization Centers of America (OIC/A) is a national network of employment and training programs bound together by a common commitment of serving the poor and unemployed.
The first OIC was founded in 1964 in Philadelphia by Reverend Leon H. Sullivan, the past chairman of the OIC/A Board of Directors.
